Goodman in the Community

The school hosts a program for social involvement in the community, where the students of the school of all years take part in a permanent activity once a week. We believe that the program for social involvement in the community helps strengthen the bond between the students and the community of which they are part of, helps widen their social outlook and promotes mutual growth of both the students and members of the community, and eventually aid in promoting a generation of socially-involved actors and actresses who care for their community and know how to take social initiatives.

The program includes community work in several locations around the city of Be’er Sheva and special projects for a wide variety of populations.

At the beginning of the school year, students go through an assignment and training process in order to prepare them with the appropriate tools for work in the field. Afterwards, they are assigned in centers of community activities, chosen by the school and several social bodies of Be’er Sheva: the Welfare Department of Be’er Sheva, ‘Kivunim’ – The Municipal Organization for Recreation and Culture in Be’er Sheva, and other organizations and associations.

We are proud of the school’s social work. The students’ contribution of theater and art in a wide variety of institutions and organizations is vast and extremely appreciated. Growth, advancement, integration and joy are just a small part of this program’s many accomplishments, and these accomplishments are all dedicated to the city and its people. The school considers this program a top priority and commits to continue investing time, resources and abilities in order to further this social agenda.
